Automatic Language Detection & Multilingual Mode

Overview


Chartnote now supports Automatic Language Detection and Multilingual Mode for AI Scribe and Voice Chart. These features make it easier than ever to capture accurate notes across multiple languages without having to manually adjust settings.

Automatic Language Detection


With Automatic Language Detection, Chartnote will recognize the language you’re speaking in real time. This means you no longer need to manually choose a language before starting your note — the system adapts automatically.

  • Supported Languages:

    • Spanish (es)

    • English (en)

    • Hindi (hi)

    • Japanese (ja)

    • Russian (ru)

    • Ukrainian (uk)

    • Swedish (sv)

    • Chinese (zh)

    • Portuguese (pt)

    • Dutch (nl)

    • Turkish (tr)

    • French (fr)

    • German (de)

    • Indonesian (id)

    • Korean (ko)

    • Italian (it)


Example: If you start speaking in Russian, the system will automatically transcribe your conversation successfully, and create a note in your default language (English).

Multilingual Mode


Multilingual Mode is designed for conversations that include two or more languages. Instead of choosing just one language, you can capture dialogue across multiple supported languages and get combined, accurate results.

  • Supported Languages:

    • English

    • Spanish

    • French

    • German

    • Hindi

    • Russian

    • Portuguese

    • Japanese

    • Italian

    • Dutch

    • Turkish

    • Norwegian

    • Indonesian


Example: If a doctor speaks in English while the patient responds in Spanish, Multilingual Mode will process both languages simultaneously, producing a single combined note.

When to Use Each Mode

  • Automatic Language Detection → Best for single-language encounters when you don’t want to manually select a language. The system detects and adapts automatically.

  • Multilingual Mode → Best for bilingual or multilingual encounters where multiple languages are spoken within the same conversation.
