Intelligent Mapping allows you to link sections of your Chartnote document (e.g., HPI, ROS, Assessment, Plan) to the appropriate fields in your EHR.
Once mapped, Chartnote will remember your preferences, so every future note transfers with just one click—no copy-paste required.
Install the Chrome Extension
Sign in with your Chartnote account.
Open Your EHR and Chartnote
Make sure a patient chart is open in your EHR.
Open the Chartnote extension to see your saved notes.
Set Up Your Mapping
Select a note template.
The left panel shows your Chartnote sections.
The right panel shows EHR fields.
Drag & Drop Sections
Drag each Chartnote section into its corresponding EHR field.
Multiple sections can be mapped to the same field.
You can leave sections unmapped if not needed.
Save and Apply
Click Apply Mapping.
Your settings are saved, and your note will transfer instantly.
Edit or Update Later
Revisit the extension anytime to adjust your mappings.
Veracity (AllegianceMD): Uses placeholders inside templates ({} or []). Make sure placeholders match for mapping to work correctly.
Other Supported EHRs: Standard drag-and-drop mapping applies.
One-Click Transfers – eliminate repetitive copy-paste.
Accurate Field Placement – ensures notes land in the correct sections.
Flexible Setup – configure once, adjust anytime.
Cross-EHR Consistency – same workflow across multiple systems.
Note doesn’t transfer? Confirm you’re logged in to both Chartnote and your EHR with a progress note open.
