How to Adjust Browser Screen Size When Using Chartnote and Your EHR

When using Chartnote alongside your EHR, you might encounter a blue screen prompting you to use the mobile app if you reduce the size of your browser window too much. If you need to resize the browser to about a third of your screen to work efficiently, there's a simple solution to ensure all UI elements fit nicely.


If you like keeping Chartnote side-by-side with your EHR, shrinking the browser too much can trigger a blue screen suggesting the mobile app. Here’s how to keep everything visible.

Step-by-step

  1. Resize your browser window
    Click and drag the window edges so it’s roughly one-third of your screen.

  2. Watch for the blue screen
    If the window gets too narrow, you’ll see a blue prompt to use the mobile app. That’s your cue to adjust zoom.

  3. Zoom out to fit all UI elements

    • On Windows/Linux: press Ctrl + - (minus)

    • On Mac: press Cmd + - (minus)
      Keep tapping until the blue screen disappears and all UI elements fit comfortably.

  4. Fine-tune as needed
