How to Install the Chartnote Chrome Extension on Microsoft Edge

This guide provides a straightforward method for installing the Chartnote Chrome Extension on Microsoft Edge, enabling users to enhance their browsing experience. By following these steps, users can easily add the extension to their browser and access features such as inserting snippets, AI Scribe notes, and dictating directly into their EHR.



Steps

  1. Open the Microsoft Edge browser.

  2. Click the Settings and more button (three dots in the top-right corner).

  3. Click Extensions from the menu.

  4. Select Manage Extensions.

  5. Click Chrome Web Store.

  6. Search for the Chartnote Extension.

  7. Click Get on the Chartnote Extension listing.

  8. Click Allow when prompted to allow extensions from other stores.

  9. Click Add Extension to confirm installation.

  10. ✅ Chartnote is now added to Microsoft Edge.

  11. Click the Extensions pop-up button (puzzle piece icon).

  12. Click Show in Toolbar next to Chartnote.

  13. The Chartnote Extension will now appear in your toolbar for easy access.

Tips

  • If the Allow extensions from other stores prompt doesn’t appear, enable it manually in Edge’s Extensions settings.

  • You can remove the extension anytime from Manage Extensions.

  • Keeping the extension pinned to your toolbar ensures quick access while working in your EHR.
