This issue may arise from three possible audio-related scenarios:
1.
Language Settings: Ensure that your settings in AI Scribe or Voice Chart are configured for the correct language to match your patient visit encounter or dictation.
2.
Audio Quality or No Audio: If the audio quality is suboptimal or non-existent, our AI will attempt to fill in the gaps and may generate a note that's inaccurate or fabricated. Similarly audio from the patient side might not be recorded when using telehealth when using a headset or using services like Google Meet.
3.
Short Recording: If the audio is too brief, the AI might include additional information that fits the context but wasn't explicitly recorded. This phenomenon is sometimes called "AI hallucination."
Steps to Diagnose and Prevent Issues: -
Check the Audio: Return to the note and
play back the audio to ensure it was recorded properly. If there is no audio, verify your audio input settings.
-
Adjust the Language settings: Select the appropriate language for your patient visit or dictation.
-
Improve Your Microphone: - Desktop: Consider using an
omnidirectional microphone for better capture quality.
- Laptop: Built-in microphones usually perform well, but external options can further improve audio.
-
Use Chartnote Mobile: -
Benefits: Our
mobile app provides better control over audio input than browser-based recording. Browser recording can suffer if other applications compete for microphone resources.
-
Issues Resolved: Using Chartnote Mobile helps avoid common issues like:
-
Telehealth Meetings: Google Meet or other video conferencing apps can prevent Chartnote from capturing audio.
-
Headset Use: Only your voice might be recorded through a headset, not your patients.
By recording with the mobile app, you can ensure better audio quality and avoid most input conflicts.
