How to Record Patient Visits Offline in the Chartnote Mobile App

You can easily record patient visits even when you don’t have an internet connection. Follow these simple steps to create, save, and transcribe your offline notes once you’re back online.

Step-by-step guide:

  1. Open the Chartnote mobile app
    If you’re not connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data, tap Use Offline when prompted.

  2. Create a new recording
    Tap New recording to start.

  3. Name your recording
    Enter a name (for example, “Test”) and tap OK.

  4. Start recording
    Recording begins automatically, speak as you normally would during the visit.

  5. Pause or finish
    Tap the red button to pause or stop your recording. When finished, tap Finish to save.

  6. Review your offline recordings
    Go to Offline Recordings to view your saved notes. Tap one to open, or tap the blue mic icon to add more audio.

  7. Reconnect online
    When you have internet access again, open the offline note.

  8. Set the note type
    Choose the correct note type for your visit, either Voice Chart or AI Scribe.

  9. Customize your note
    Select a template, add the patient name or label, and tap Transcribe.

  10. Confirm transcription
    Tap OK when prompted to start transcribing your audio.

  11. Review and save
    Once transcription is complete, review your note for accuracy. It will be automatically saved in Chartnote.
