Change Your Multi-Factor Authentication Method to Email or Text

Keep your account secure and easy to access by updating your multi-factor authentication (MFA) method. Use these quick steps to switch your second step to email or text (SMS) and verify it in minutes.

Step-by-step Guide

  1. Sign in to Chartnote
    Log in with your username and password.

  2. Open Account Settings
    Click the 3 lines for right-side of your dashboard to appear and choose Settings (or Account).

  3. Go to Security / Two-Factor Authentication
    Open Security, then select Two-Factor Authentication (MFA).

  4. Manage your MFA methods
    Click Manage, Edit, or Change method.

  5. Choose a new method
    Select Email or Text (SMS) as your MFA option.

  6. Enter your contact
    For Email, confirm the address; for SMS, enter your mobile number with country code.

  7. Save changes
    Click Save or Confirm to finalize the update.

  8. Test it
    Sign out, then sign back in to confirm you receive the MFA code by email or text.
